SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Saturday rain was mixed. SRQ picked up a quarter of an inch (0.25”). There were only a few higher totals. Osprey reported 0.68”, and Palmetto had almost an inch and a half (1.48”). Today’s First Alert Weather Day brings a slight chance of an isolated heavy downpours, which could create ponding or flash flooding of low-lying areas. And this is the last day of the current stretch of cloudy and stormy days. Much drier air returns after a cold front moves south across Florida overnight. Sunny skies and lower humidity start the work week.
