Kissimmee Utility Authority and the Orlando Utilities Commission have sent a combined 30 workers to help restore electricity in areas damaged by the storm.Follow Channel 9’s live updates on Hurricane Isaias recovery efforts.KUA sends workers to Florida PanhandleKUA sent 12 linemen and a mechanic to DeFuniak Springs on Saturday to assist Choctawhatchee Electric Cooperative.The cooperative reported approximately 68,900 customers, representing about 90% of its system, lost power following Hurricane Isaias.KUA sent the workers through its mutual-aid agreement with utilities across the country.OUC crews assist in AlabamaOUC deployed 17 employees to Robertsdale, Alabama, at 7 a.m. Friday.The team includes 15 line technicians, a line supervisor and a fleet mechanic. They are working alongside local utilities and the city of Robertsdale to assess damage and safely restore electricity.OUC said it does not currently plan to send additional resources but will provide updates if that changes.Sumte
