Not from Winter Park? Parking at Lake Baldwin and Dinky Dock Could Cost $2-$3 an Hour

If you live outside Winter Park and regularly bring your dog to Lake Baldwin Park or launch a kayak at Dinky Dock, your free parking days may be numbered. The Winter Park City Commission unanimously approved moving forward with a six-month paid parking pilot at Lake Baldwin Park and Dinky Dock Park during its Sept. 9 meeting, with a target launch in spring 2027. Winter Park residents would continue to park for free, while nonresidents could pay between $2 and $3 per hour, according to Office of Management and Budget Director Peter Moore. The city is also discussing an annual parking permit for nonresidents, though a price has not yet been set. Residents would need to register their vehicles to receive free parking.
