Record flooding forces Brevard County to move Election Day polling locations — Clermont Community news

Historic flooding is forcing Brevard County to move several Election Day polling locations ahead of Tuesday’s General Election. Parts of Central Florida received around 2 feet of rainfall in just 24 hours — what News 6 meteorologist Jordan Patrick is calling a 1-in-1,000-year flood event.“An upper level low mixed with deep tropical moisture was the perfect recipe to conjure up a 1-in-1,000-year flood event for Central Florida,” Patrick said. The Brevard County Supervisor of Elections Office announced Monday it will temporarily relocate a number of precinct polling locations to protect voters and poll workers.“For the safety and security of our election workers and the voters of Brevard, it is necessary to relocate a couple of precinct polling locations due to these unprecedented circumstances,” Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic said.Where your new polling place isThe following precincts have new Election Day locations for Tuesday, Nov. 3:Precinct(s)Previous LocationNew Location307, 51
