The University of Central Florida’s Acrisure Bounce House lived up to its name Saturday night on homecoming. The UCF Knights and quarterback Keyone Jenkins downed the #2 ranked BYU Cougars in a game that was anything but calm. With less than 15 seconds left in regulation, UCF kicker Will Stone attempted a field goal, but it was blocked. Though Stone’s helmet came off, no penalty was committed according to the officials, and a mandatory 10-second runoff due to the loss of helmet sent the game to overtime. Both teams scored a touchdown on their first position of overtime, but in double OT, a Keyone Jenkins pass to Grayson Brousseau put UCF ahead 37-31, and the ensuing 2-point conversion turned the score 39-31. BYU would get one final chance to tie the game, but would miss on a 4th down pass in the end zone, giving UCF its highest ranked win in program history.
